Matchmaking: IGSTC 2+2 Call on Additive Manufacturing

How it works

There are basically three options to find a suitable partner for your project proposal

  • browse through the profiles of other participants (see menu bar at top of this page)
  • go to the virtual marketplace (see menu bar at top of this page) where other participants and you can post project cooperation ideas, a clear description of expertise offered or also specific requests
  • create a meaningful profile (see menu bar at top of this page) and/or add project cooperation ideas, experstise or requests to the market place (can also be done under your profile) to be contacted by others

You can then exchange messages or book video meetings with participants of interest to you.

To receive meeting requests it is highly advisable to invest some minutes to write a profile or add offers to the marketplace which clearly highlight what you can offer/require.

Basically this homepag is a 1:1 networking/matchmaking platform. It is an ideal way to initiate contacts with potential new international collaboration partners and a great opportunity to widen your network. The concept revolves around finding suitable partnerships of mutual interest for 2+2 project proposals.

  • All meetings arranged via this website are in the form of video calls. Additional participants can join the video meetings booked via the marketplace by sharing the browser link with them.
  • There is no personal meeting schedule other than what you arrange yourself.
  • You build your own agenda based on accepted meeting requests.

Accepted meeting requests will be scheduled according to mutual availability and preference. When sending a meeting request, you will be able to propose the date and time for a 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute video call. Date and time of the call can later be re-scheduled by both parties if needed.

The function to book meetings will be made available on the 14th of December when a sufficient number of participants will have registered. You can continue to send and receive meeting requests to arrange more meetings before the proposal submission deadline of 25th February 2021.

To get started and find out how to register, promote your project and arrange meetings, please watch the video, and follow the 4 simple steps below.

Please note that finding matches and initiating contacts between participants is also referred to as a Brokerage Event, Matchmaking or Partnering.

Effective partner meetings consist of 4 simple steps

1. Online registration

During the registration you are required to provide the following information:

  • Your organisation's profile
  • Your OFFER (Expertise and Project Cooperation) or Your REQUEST in the Marketplace

After the registration you can still change your profile and add project cooperations, expertise or requests to the market place by editing your profile.

All the information must be written in English. Users with profiles that are incomplete, unclear or irrelevant to the event will be contacted to solve the problem and they might also be rejected by the organisers.

Your profile is your opportunity to define the project idea or experstise  you can offer (project cooperation/expertise) or what you are looking for (request). You can also tell others what you would like to discuss in meetings with potential partners.

You can submit as many OFFERS and REQUESTS as you want to the Marketplace but do not include more than one OFFER or REQUEST on the same profile.

2. Promotion of published profiles

All profiles (Expertise, Project Cooperation & Requests) will be promoted within the Marketplace.

Profiles are the key to success at finding a collaborative partner to join the call, as interests will be generated based upon the information submitted against each profile entry. We would encourage all participants to submit, in as much detail as possible, the most accurate information against each submission when creating an OFFER or a REQUEST. All cooperation profiles will be published and visible for other registered users.

3. Arrangement of your virtual appointments

You will be able to search the Marketplace to identify suitable partnership opportunities.

Connecting with participants
You can initiate meetings or send messages to connect with other participants and vice versa.

BE ACTIVE, NOT REACTIVE!
Browse published participants profiles and send meeting requests to those you want to connect with. Adding a meaningful remark why you are interested in a meeting to increase the chance that your request will be accepted.

Your schedule
There is no personal meeting schedule other than what you arrange yourself. You build your own agenda based on accepted meeting requests. When sending a meeting request, you will be able to propose the date and time for a 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute video call. Date and time of the call can later be re-scheduled by both parties if needed.

Following a meeting and the initial exchange of project ideas and requirements with another participant, you can take the conversation to a channel of your choice.

You can continue to send meeting requests to other participants to arrange more meetings.

4. Preparing and submitting the IGSTC 2+2 call application

When a match is ascertained, the partners from India & Germany are encouraged to have detailed conversations on the project collaboration in preparation for the 2+2 project proposal submission.

Please refer to the Call Text & Basic Guidelines for more details and How to Apply

All partners must complete and submit the 2+2 project online application form in English at PT-Outline by submitted no later than 25th February 2021 / 11:59 pm MEZ. No legal claims can be derived from the submission of a proposal.
